What makes EDEI different from other ED training?

EDEI is a professional learning community, not a one-off training vendor. Courses use instructional design principles, delivered on Canvas LMS, and built with guidance from a Harvard-educated adult learning and educational technology expert.

How do I enroll in a course or pathway?

Enrollment is straightforward. Browse our course catalog, select the individual course or pathway you’d like to begin, and follow the prompts to create your learner account and complete payment. Once enrolled, you’ll receive access details for our learning platform and can begin right away. For pathways with pre-requisites — like the EDCS Credential — you’ll be guided through a brief eligibility review before enrollment is finalized.

Can I fast forward through courses and take them in any order?

EDEI courses are designed as a progressive learning experience. Within individual courses, learners are required to complete modules in sequence — content unlocks as you move through the material, ensuring each concept builds on the last.

For pathway programs, some courses have a recommended or required sequence. The EDCS Credential follows a structured curriculum where foundational courses prepare you for more advanced content and clinical application.

For credential candidates, sequential completion is not just a platform requirement — it reflects how competency is actually built. Eating disorder care is a complex, intersecting field. Understanding assessment depends on understanding etiology; skipping ahead risks gaps that can affect the quality of care you provide to a vulnerable population. The sequencing in EDEI’s credential program is intentional, designed by experts in both eating disorder care and adult learning to move you from knowledge to confident, competent practice.

If you’re enrolling in individual courses outside of a pathway, you can select any course that matches your current level without prerequisite coursework.

How much do courses cost, and what is your refund policy?

Pricing varies by pathway and individual course. Current pricing is listed on each course and pathway page in the catalog. Because EDEI courses provide immediate access to digital learning materials, refunds are generally not available once a course has been accessed. Are courses live, self-paced, or a mix?

EDEI courses are primarily self-paced, so you can fit your learning around your practice and personal schedule. Course content is delivered through our learning platform and remains available for you to revisit throughout your enrollment period. The EDCS Credential includes a live practicum component — small-group sessions facilitated by licensed clinicians. You will choose from scheduled sessions as you complete the courses in the pathway

What does the practicum involve?

The EDCS Credential includes a live group practicum hosted on the EDEI learning platform and facilitated by licensed mental health providers. In small groups of 4–6, learners work through case studies with a practicum consultant to deepen clinical understanding. Candidates complete 24 hours of practicum before sitting for the credential’s final assessment.

Is EDEI an accredited institution?

EDEI is not a regionally accredited college or university. EDEI is a specialized professional learning community offering continuing education and credential programs for practicing clinicians and healthcare providers. Our courses are developed at university level with guidance from adult learning and educational technology experts, and our CEU/CME hours are issued through CE-GO, an approved provider recognized by major licensing bodies. Always verify with your licensing board that EDEI credits meet your jurisdiction’s requirements.

I'm a coach, carer, or person with lived experience — can I enroll?

Individual courses are open to a broad range of learners, including credentialed health and wellness coaches, family members, carers, and those with personal experience of eating disorders who are interested in deepening their understanding.

The Certificate for Eating Disorders Foundations is appropriate especially for mental health and health care providers with limited eating disorders education or experience, as well as educators, advocates, coaches and carrers—anyone who may come in contact with someone they suspect may have an eating disorder.

Completing any EDEI program does not authorize non-clinical learners to provide clinical treatment for eating disorders. If you’re unsure whether a pathway or course is right for you, please reach out — we’re happy to help.

Who can earn the EDCS Credential?

The EDCS is designed for clinicians who meet a higher threshold: a master’s degree in a mental health or general healthcare field, a recognized clinical license, and a minimum of direct and indirect clinical hours. Clinicians who are currently holding an accepted earring disorders credential from a recognized organization can pursue the Express EDCS which does not require the practicum.

Can I start with individual courses and work toward a credential later?

Yes, provided you meet the pathway’s pre-requisites. The pathway detail pages outline each specific requirement.

How long do I have access to the education I purchase?

Once you enroll, your courses are yours for life — you can return to the materials as often as you like, at your own pace. Lifetime access is provided for as long as EDEI continues to operate and maintain its learning platform. In the unlikely event of significant changes to our operations or platform, we will provide advance notice so learners can download key materials.

Do you provide equity pricing?

Does EDEI serve an international audience?

Yes. EDEI serves both US and global learners, and its courses are designed to support recovery-focused clinical education across healthcare systems.

Is the Micro-Credential available now?

Micro-Credentials are in development. Sub-topics, pre-requisites, and the practicum structure are being finalized.

What is EDEI’s guarantee with regard to its educational products?

EDEI’s credentials, certificates, micro-credentials, and courses are designed to deepen your knowledge, sharpen your clinical thinking, and connect you with a professional community advancing eating disorders care.

Are courses accepted for CEUs?

Yes. All pathways include CEU and CME.

How do I receive CEU and CME?

EDEI’s continuing education credits are issued in partnership with CE-GO, our accredited continuing education provider. To earn CEUs or CMEs, you’ll complete a short set of required questions at the end of each course. Once those are successfully submitted, we will generate a certificate of completion for the course, which is yours to download, save, and submit to your licensing board or professional association. Certificates are issued per course, so as you progress through a pathway, you’ll collect a certificate for each course you complete along the way.
